Drop The Guns, Pick Up A Ball
Drop The Guns, Pick Up A Ball was created by our Founder, Johanna P. Perez, in honor of her mother, Juanita Walker. Juanita lost her life to gun violence when Johanna was just six years old, leaving behind six children.
The event raises awareness about gun violence prevention and encourages young people to choose sports, purpose, and positive community over violence. The message is simple: when we choose a ball over a gun, fewer lives are taken.
Drop The Guns, Pick Up A Ball is a program of Reclaiming Us, A Black Pride Wellness Movement.
All Black Party Legacy
The All Black Party made history as the first Pride event ever held on the Las Vegas Strip. The event brought together more than 50 influencers and sold out the Hard Rock Cafe, creating a powerful moment of visibility, celebration, and community.
That history continues today through the All Black Gala.
